Welcome to the DeFuniak Springs Office of the City Marshal’s Website . The City Marshal’s Office was founded in the early 1880’s and is one of only 13 municipal law enforcement agencies in Florida headed by an elected official. The City Marshal is also the only full-time elected official representing the City of DeFuniak Springs.

We at the City Marshal’s Office provide the full range of standard law enforcement; however, what sets us apart from other law enforcement agencies is our committed and customized services to help ensure the well being of our citizens. For example, a DeFuniak Springs Police Officer may go from working a Felony Level Call, to checking on the welfare of the community’s elderly population, to unlocking a citizen’s door or working a minor traffic accident. We make every effort to customize our services to fit the needs of the community we have served for over a hundred years.
